HyperSnap is an advanced program that combines screen capturing and image editing features. It has more capturing options than most of the screen capturing programs: capture full screen, virtual desktop, window or control, entire page with scrolling, button, active window, active window without frame, region, region with scrolling, free hand, pan last region, multiregion capture, mouse cursor only, repeat last capture, extended active window, video capture, and game capture. The capturing hotkeys for each option are customizable.
After you have captured an image, whichever option you used, a new window will be shown inside the HyperSnap's main window showing the captured image. The program offers many edition options: you can resize the image, add text, insert various objects like rectangles, ellipses, highlighting blocks. You can also insert stamps, rotate the image, scale it, and more. Besides, you can save the captured images in different file formats. The last feature I would like to bring up is "TextSnap", which allows you to capture text from a window, a region of the screen, or an object under the cursor, and edit the captured text.
- It has more capturing options than most of the screen capturing programs.
- It allows you capture text from a window, a region, or an object, and the text captured is editable
- TextSnap doesn't capture text from PDF documents, programs written in Java running in Java virtual machine, and text that is embedded in bitmap images
